How can you support YLS?
There are many ways to support the staff and students at Yuma Lutheran School.
The PTO sponsers a cookie dough fundraiser at the beginning of each school year. With these funds, we have been able to purchase iPads, Chromebooks, playground equipment, classroom supplies and we are currently raising money for bleachers for the gym. With your help, we can make this and other fundraisers succesful! The Fall Festival is a great way for you to volunteer to show your support of the PTO. This event in fun for the students and an opportunity for parents to get to know one another. The Spring BBQ and Silent Auction is another event that PTO sponsors. Through donations to the auction, we can raise additional funds for the school.
The Scholastic Book Fair is a great opportunity for you to purchase scholastic books in a cash and carry setting. Parents love picking out books with their children. Reading to your children is one of the most important ways to help build your child's reading skills, help them develop a love of reading and share time together. Funds raised at the book fair support the school library as well as classroom libraries.
Many of our students benefit from donations made to School Tuition Organizations. The scholarships would not be available without donations. If you are able, please consider making a donation to one of the organizations. The donation gives you a dollar-for-dollar state tax write off. Donations can be made up to April 15th to be included in the current year tax season. More information about these programs can be found on the link to the left.
